Battery on my 30GB classic is starting to go a little & I'm thinking I might retire it to the glovebox forever. It connects into the stereo & charges it so it'll still work & be of use
The replacement for this is 160GB & I can't think of any reason why anyone would need that much space, other option is to get a touch but I bet the battery runs out loads quicker due to the screen & other stuff? Also I can't figure out what's changed from V3 to V4
My phone has most of the touch features anyway, well kind of (HTC Desire)
So which one should I be looking at? Touch, Classic or something else?

Not keen on the nano, if you're going to get a touch screen may as well have it big enough to use

Nano V4 or V5 I'd say. Some places may start doing clearance offers on them as the new one is launched.

Why don't you just get a new battery for it? I did so for my iPod (along with a new front case) and I polished the back of it, it's as good as new now.
I think the new battery cost me less than a tenner all in.

As above, might as well get a classic for a few extra £ though.

I find the battery on my touch is brilliant so long as the screen stays off.
In fact I have a little app on mine which says music playback time is 36 hours. Sounds about right tbh.
