Just watched The Box...and what the Fuck?

If anyone could explain that would be great because I'm seriously confused!

I understand all the 'for the great of good' bit but what was with the water and basically everything that happened after they received the million dollars.

my take on it was they guy with the creepy face died, came back to life and built a box that basicly test humanity?

the water was how you travelled to wherever the creepy guy came from

the idiots americans thought it was heaven.

and the idiot americans are going to kill us all cause the cant stop pressing that button!! (sounds about right )

and yes, really shit movie. only watched it all because it was late at night and nothing else on
