I may give brentacre a call and see if they can give me a good price.
Didnt have much look with them last year and they wouldn't match my current policy price.
Do you think its ok to insure it as a 1.6 sport when it was originally a 1.2 8v as thats all quinn did as there is no such thing as a 1.6 16v breeze

Don`t want to piss you off any more guy`s, I have a traders policy. its gone up by £90.75 from last year to £540.75. So I questioned them straight
away, the answer was `everbodies insurance has gone up due to the fraudulent
claim`s for whip-lash, theft of personal items and recovery companies.
All brought on by the solicitors, NO WIN NO FEE.
So sorry guy, its you onest lads that suffer.

No they weren't bothered about that really mate. They just asked me what car the engine was out of and what performance mods it had. They were actually cheaper than Brentacre for me in the end but they charge admin fee for adding modifications which was quite expensive. By the time I'd added a couple of mods to the policy it would have worked out more expensive for me. Insured my old 106 through them though and didn't have any issues.

SMALL UPDATE.
Just got off the phone with Brentacre and and they quoted me £740 TPFT and says it will be around £200 extra for FC.
They have beaten the renewal quote i got from Quinn and thats with engine change and all mods declared with a 110bhp limit and can be increased anytime but wouldnt really need to as im not doing and other performance mods it also includes car key cover and excess for the car if in a accident is £350.
I think its pretty decent plus iv never herd anyone say anything bad about Brentacre so they must be good.

That what Quinn just did.
Hmm personally I wouldn't try getting quotes as 1.6 sport as thats bending the truth slightly, unless the company is happy to do that of course. Try phoning some more specialist companies mate. Brentacre are a fantastic company to deal with and would 100% recommend them They give you a BHP limit and you can do anything to the car for free as long as you don't go above it
I'm with Shaun on this! Brentacre have been great since i went with them on my X16XE Corsa, mines a 1.4 Sport converted to a 1.6 with all other mods declared, 130bhp limit, fully comp £1800. Im only 19, been driving a year and have 1 years NCB so i don't think mines that bad really.

It was nice to talk to someone who actually knew a bit about car mods than some clueless bimbo.
They must deal with a lot of people with redtops because soon as mentioned corsa but has had an engine change he asked if it was a red top straight away
