Im one at mine but dont extra pay. I think thats because we do 1 or 2 practice evacuations a year so theres not much to get paid for.

I'm doing the course next month to cover my department, we don't get anything extra. Also doing First Aid but we get £7.50 extra a week for that.

You get an illuminous jacket, tell people to stand at the designated fire points and if there's any disabled people in the building you have to stand with them in the stairwells during any evacuations, real or otherwise. Great job
