My mate's got a mint g40 and was thinking of buyin this as well, what do you lot think its worth, i understand its the older shape, with the later style front end, really the value i suppose is in the install, engine conversion and interior. He's also got a tdi polo 02 plate thats chipped.
I know its worth what someones prepared to pay, would say £4000 be all its money? discuss??

looks tidy but i thought 210 was the limit for those engines so might have clutch and turbo problems in the future

im about to stick a brand new pd in my golf, il tell you they are not cheap engines! if thats on the standard turbo i think its been rollered on optimistic rollers for 210hp/340. a pd engine with 340 ft lb would generally have more hp too but we dont know exactly what it is.
bet it upsets a lot of other cars

The standard clutches on VAG tdi's is 300lbft so if it hasnt been upgraded it aint going to last much longer but he seems rather optimistic. I have a PD130 and its remapped to 163bhp, the PD160 (cupra) only maaps to 200bhp

Was looking alright till it said dump valve  no no no no on a diesel.
Also power figure may be a tad high, probably about 200. If its a new install it could have a new clutch which would last for a while, it also depends how you drive it.
