Due to my car coming from the lovely Japan and never being factory undersealed my S15 needs to be protected for the horrible uk weather conditions which are already here!
Need to do it asap so need to clarify I have the correct idea.
1. Use wire brush (drill bit or an actual brush) and wet and dry paper...get rid of any surface rust that is already there.
2. Etch primer the bits that I have just wire brushed.
3. Apply WAXOYL rust proofing stuff.
4. Done
What bits to do, anything under the car? Wheel well? Sills? Roll bars and track rods? Not going to do the diff housing btw..Seems like its going to be a pig due to there being bolts etc as I dont want to get spray or waxoyl in them and cause them not to be able to come out in the future. Mabi remove bolts while doing it and just be careful not to get any in the thread?
Is that it? Any better way to go about it?
Is WAXOYL the best thing to use?

I wouldnt use waxoyl, it never dries fully.
1. Get as much off the floor pan as possible.
2. Apply a zinc primer.
3. Apply stone chip guard.
Sorted!

Best way to do it paint it over the the etch primer (use black paint). One component of rust formation is air and etch primer is a porous material so cover it with paint (do not use rattle can spray) and then apply under seal. try to use a hard material under seal that is not washed away when going throw water in winter. use liquid under seal in doors and other box section parts !
important do not apply paint on under seal or under seal on etch primer

So best to go etch primer than use a tin based hammerite paint and go over the etch primer with that..
Then use underseal on top of that?
Cheers
