the knocking might be the exhaust, cant see why only the backs would make a noice though.

its not the exhaust because when the exhaust hit the axel it makes a different noise this one isnt like the exhaust one and the exhaust doesnt hit the axel anymore i used rubber from a side wall off a old tyre like

might be the coils hitting themselves if you know what i mean, i had some FK yellow ones and when i took them off the middle 2 coils had the paint cracked off where they had been banging together over bumps

oh right, yeah that will be the springs hitting as you go over bumps

No its not the spring coils touching each other its definetly the shocks top mounts or the shock itself.
I have apex -60s on and the coils dont touch each other,i even greased the coils them selves as i though it was that too but noise is still there.
May grease the rubber mounts and metal washers on top of the shocks to see it that helps.

I've had creaking noises at the rear before (ooer!), and it turned out to be the nylon bushes on the spring of the brake load sensing valve

My jamex ones do it every now and then as well. 99% of the time they are spot on. Its only if I go down a really shit road covered in holes etc that sets it off.
