what gearbox does the 1.4 sport use as
apposed to the 8v corsa 1.2
and the 8v nova gte engine

they all geared the same tho like diffrent ratios i was thinking the 1.4 sports will be ratioed diffrent

Depends what box it is to what ratio it is... Pretty sure f13's and f15's are widely used, then you can get the closer ratio versions of the two boxes i believe

well my 1.6 e16se has a corsa sport gearbox off the 1.4 it happily was going through the gears but then wen i went into 5th it was doing like 100mph at around 5000 rpm when a friend has the original gearbox off his engine and it does 110 at 5000 rpm any help on that one

Its a different final drive. Corsa is most likly shorter than nova, but vauxhall just played pot luck with final drives.
Does it really matter? No...

You're not going to find out if you have a problem with your engine through using a gearbox, a 1.4 16v will go through the gears completely different to a 1.2 8v or 1.6 8v.

The way i understand it (after learning about Omega gearboxes).
The F means front wheel drive gearbox. Then the 13 is the max rated torque (not sure how it correlates to a real world figure).
The Omega AR25 is A for Auto, R for Rear wheel drive, then the torque rating. Im just presuming that they all follow the same kinda format.
