I'm now looking into it as I'm not geographically ties down to any location. Good money to be earnt by the sound of things.

I'm currently doing IT at Uni, do you specialise in any particular area or an all round thing? Is it easy to get into work with it, do you enjoy it?
Lemme know if you get any info about contracting too .

Just stopped contracting after 18 months. Money is good but be ready to get ripped off by your umbrella company
I wouldnt do it again unless I had to, no job security, you loose the drive that makes you want to make large changes etc
If you go ahead with it I can give you a referrer code for an umbrella company which will give me £70 if you go with them for more than a month
