Seen a house I might go have a look at and it's listed as having hot air heating. Currently have storage heating which is shit so I've been looking at places with GCH but there's not much about.
So does anybody have any experience with hot air heating systems?

Warm airs were commonly fitted in the late 70s and 80s, alot of which have been replaced now, they arnt too bad, wont be the most economical of systems and you cant just fit a normal high efficency condensing boiler to them either
unless of course its a new house your looking at which has it fitted (quite rare) then all the above is bollocks

worked on quite a few of the room sealed ones and they aint too bad... dont want to be touching anything pre-85 as their is a lot of asbestos in them!
not economical and you need to be old or had warm air for years to appreciate it

got it here and it's ok but we've had no end of issues with the electric hot air storage heater (it's from the late 70s, about the size of an american fridge). Parts are nie impossible to come by and last time a heating element went we had to get it made abroad which cost a fortune. Been looking to replace it with a gas warm air heater, not cheap though.
So if it's an old system I would see if replacements are available otherwise it could be issues.
