I'll probably come to this tbh. Missed out on my usual skiing trip this year.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I'm going to the Nevis Range on the 27th Jan until 30th (so 3 nights) 2 full days boarding, probably getting there early enough for 3/4 of a day boarding on 27th
12 of us going, 2 chalets, £40 a room in the chalet (some are couples sharing so they're £20 each in the same room)
Ski pass is £51 for 3 days
£91, accomodation and lift pass; plus travelling and food/drink. £250ish all in.
Would that kind of price suit everyone? If so, I'll rate this weekend away and when I get back organise it

I'm going that week to check it out - I'm thinking of end of February/Start of March if that resorts/accomodation etc is ok?

Bear in mind 12th - 20th Feb is half term, which makes it better for me but may put the price up a bit.

Can do; If I can live in your attic
I'm not up on Scottish resorts; when does the season usually end?
What weekend/time would be best for people

If you go in Feb then that will give me all the more excuse to do it. I'm already meant to be going up to Dundee round about then
Season ends when the snow fucks off. Quite unpredictable

I did think that as I typed it but when's that been over the last few years?
I don't mean just the end fo the season, I mean when does it turn to icy shit that's not worth boarding on because it hasn't snowed for weeks - unpredictable but still lets have a guess........

Just been told I'm not allowed to take any holidays until April because of workload so that's me out; I'm happy to help organise though if the interest is there

Last year some mates went skiing on the summer solstice.
Couple of years before that we were burst by February.
Its a serious lottery, this year I'd expect them to be open quite late. Nevis quotes its season as November to May, Aviemore I think it usually a touch shorter than that.
Aviemore is definately the better resort in terms of things to do when you arent skiing.

Snowboarding in Scotland was awesome; there won't be long left of the season given how quickly the snow is melting so if anyone want's to go; I suggest they do it soon.
Nevis Range top lifts are open but there's a bit of trekking to get up there. I sugegst taking lunch up with you to save coming down to the base station to go back up again.
After the first chair, its all pommel and T bar drag lifts BUT they do run a Piste Basher up and down all day which you can jump on the back of for a lift to the summit.
Park was okay, although could have done with a few more boxes/rails, which were all there but not put out; we built a flip kicker on the side of the table top as well.
Anyway, few photos
Piste Basher
Pistes were very strange; they're dragging snow off the summit to keep the run open but as they're pisting all day; its a foot of powder rather than compacted pistes like abroad; rode really well.
Icy patches on the lowest open runs which catch you by surprise
Overall 5/10 for the resort/range but 8/10 for the snow condition on the upper runs
