just had a new 1.2 16v put in my corsa C and it seems 2 be getting hot abit quik if i aint got my heaters on it goes 2 about just over 90. help anybody!!

no itshould stay between 80 n 90 not over 90 shouldnt it!

ur temp gauge must be different to mine
mine shows 90 - 100
but mine often goes to and over 100 no biggy
does it go to 90 when ur in traffic?

sounds ok then it aintgot 2 100 yet i aint took the engine over 3000rpm yet coz its only done 250 mile

its done that since i got it in august when im sat in traffic especially recently with the weather it goes over 100 then the fan kicks in and it goes down to 95ish

thats fine 80oC is cold, 90oC is the norm. but have a look on the gauge the marks on the gauge are 2.5oC steps, which is fuck all really, so it may look high at half way up the gauge but its only prob about 94oC
vaux then decided that starting the coolant gauge at 90oC on the corsa B was too high as people thought their engines were running cold because this is right at the start of the gauge, so vaux then decided to start the corsa C's gauge at 80oC i think which is cold
