I pay for all my postage on PayPal, take the parcels to the post office, and they give me a reciept or sign a certificate of postage.

Should a "First Class Recorded, Signed For" Parcel have a tracking number?

If so how would I obtain it off the reciept, all it says on the reciept they gave me is the following;

Date 28/10/10
Session ID
Weight £1.3
Recorded 1st Packet - £5.94
Prepaid Amount - £5.94
Total Cost of Services £0.00
And the address of the recipient.

Should be further down receipot long number starting with 2 letters
