i do it for aerospace parts
that will be upto the job but do you have a good compresser?
and somewhere to blast?
you will need alot of media, and it will be a very messy job if you dont have a small contained area to do it in

I've got a old metal water tank which is roughly 1.5mx1.5m square is shape was going to use that for now and see how i get on.
Compressor i'm using http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wolf-50-Litre-50L-Air-Compressor-2.5-HP-Motor-1725_W0QQitemZ270515822905QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=161468087596&rvr_id=161468087596&cguid=0825c95e12c0a0aa13139a33ff790027

i usually blast my wheels at about 50psi
so you're compresser will need to power your pot at 50psi to do it
also if you are just going to to them in a water tank then expect alot of sand to come back at your face!
we use aluminium oxide in work which gives a better finish than sand/ i prefer using glass though as it takes paint off easier

all depends on whether you will be able to brush it up and re use it. and depends on the pot too
