It's my Dad's 50th birthday in January. He has always said he wanted to do a rally experience for it and I joked I would buy him one - now the time has come and I can afford it, so I want to make it pretty special.
The Silverstone experience my misses got me for my 21st was bit of a disappointment - not enough time in the cars and really were capitalising on the day with 100's of people there. Ruined the 'personal' experience.
It would be good if I could get one where he drives and then gets driven really fast! I'm not talking something like Fiesta ST's they use at Silverstone but proper rally type cars.
I haven't actually looked into it yet and not done any searching on the interweb.
Any suggestions?

I did one years back, Escort Cosworths and TBH they were WANK. They had the front diffs removed so they were rear drive only and they were shit slow. The guy even wrote on my comment sheet that they were slower than a 2.0 Nova. 
I will dig it out.

I went to Pretswold in Leicstershire (not for a rally driving though) and thought it was a good complex, and remember seeing that they had rally cars going around. Here is the site Deano, hope it helps.

Well, looking at some of the things I've just found, not old Ford Focus' with gold alloys and a roll cage I guess I mean Group N.
Some seem quite pricey for the best.

Did it once, was a real wheel drive escort, that had a misfire and they only let you use 1st and 2nd.
The fella that comes with you have an engine kill switch so if he thinks your going to fast he kills the engine, thus transfers the weight and totaly screws up your session.
Plus they think they are they STIG

I went to Silverstone Rally school in Mark II Escorts; the driving experience was very good as was the tuition but for the money, the time in the actual car is limited
