general advice is to get one from gamestation or the likes so you'll get at least 6 months warranty on it.

But i've had my 20gb ps3 for 3 years now and had no trouble

Yeh but the 60gb ones go for a lot of money. you'd be better off getting a newer PS3 from game or game station for the warrenty

The PS3 pad is so much better than the horrid 360 ones

Anyway, my mate has had a couple of the old shape PS3's and they broke, but my slim one has been fine. It's crashed a couple of times but it's never not come back on again

Unfortunatly, you are both 100% incorrect. Unless you've got hands the size of a 5 year old they are far too small. They even brought out those buttons for the back because they were designed so badly

You'll soon be able to play PS2 games on any PS3 anyway so I wouldn't bother going for a Fat over a Slim for that reason.

Should be in geek day but I have no preference in the controllers, they're identical in size and the only real difference is the left analogue stick. I do prefer the ps3 layout of the sticks though and I can't use my pad without real triggers, that's a cock up by Sony having sloppy buttons instead of proper triggers.
Also ps3 is a 3D blu ray player now which is cool, must be the cheapest available?
