I'm glad I never went last night, the football match was pretty good in the 2nd half though! Agree re poulsen (as per tbh), thought speo had a great 1st half, he battled to win the ball back and tried to keep it moving, few misplaced passed in the second half though, similar story with shelvey, he was all over the place always looking to get forward, looks like a real talent to me, just needs more night like last night to help him on. Stevie was awesome when he came on Can't believe that dirty f*cker didn't get sent off for the 'challenge' on ngog, disgraceful.

Spearing was brilliant, even though he's little he holds is ground very well! Shelvey looked good aswell. He was all over the show. He's only like 18 or 19 isn't he? He's going to be a star imo. Everybody gave stupid passes away last night, mainly Johnson.

I reckon Merieles is going to be one of those players.... shit for liverpool like bellendamy, and keane, then go off to play awesome for somebody else

Everybody is saying give him time... I really think he's a decent player, just need to see him stop making stupid mistakes.

Merieles didn't have the best game but he's had a decent start to his lfc career so i'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for last night.

Shelvey seemed pretty wasteful imo last night. Had bright spells but a lot of the time quite sloppy with passes

Oh that tackle on Ngog was awful. He was lucky not to get his leg broken.

Considering it was his first start at anfield he did ok, the overall performance wasn't brilliant from many (hence gerrard having such an impact) but shelvey in particular looked quite confident on the ball and was always looking to get forward, he was definitely wasteful at times but it was good experience for him.

Shelvey is definitely a star for the future. Him and Spearing have been highly impressive so far. I like the way Shelvey seemed to fil Gerrards place when he wasnt on, i.e corners and free kicks etc. Spearing is a young JC as he is such a comanding prescence in defence, despite being so young.

TBH a few mins of a good performance is enough.

Nani has been playing well since last January. Hardly a few mins.

And he isn't the best player in the world.
