Just had a replacement injector put in as it was stuck open and overfuling.
But now it can idle at 900, 1100, 1600. it dosn't do it all the time, when it idles @ 1600 if i switch the igition off then on it clears and goes back to 900.
The ecu has been reset as the battery had been taken off, i've only donesabout 40miles so far.
Could it be the icv?

Could be the ICV. Take it out and give it a good clean with carb cleaner or similar.
Im guessing its a 1.4 or 1.6 16v.
I've got a spare ICV I'll do for £10 if you want.

When you first start the car from cold, the engine can have a higher rev limit until its warmed up. My Sport does this for around 1 minute then the revs drop to 900 again. Can be anything up to 1500rpm too. Dont worry about it.

mines the same idles at 700 til have not cleaned the ICV must do it tomorrow

Its on the bottom of the throttle body.
