It could have the same system as my matchbox one from the 70's. press a button on the controller and it switches lanes.

Still don't see why that makes him a dick..
As an exibition designer I'd imagine this sort of thing would get him some good publicity and exposure towards his career. I'm not sure what sort of money they make too, but £3700 may be poket money to him.

I do think it's a bit sad that someone has spent so much time making a slot car track but it's someone's hobby. Better to have a hobby then not I say.

Doesn't really make him a dick though does it?
