Ireland is going from crisis to crisis though, the UK economy is currently within it's biggest growth period in over a decade. It's the speed of Tory cuts that will make things shit for a while over here and could possibly even bring on a double dip recession if they're not careful.

unfortunately the idiots running the place over here a taxing everyone towards oblivion. There is no growth here and no matter what the stupid government say there is no hope as long as they drain every cent they can out of the economy.

I know mate I was over when they started getting everyone paying for their healthcare and I know they're taxing everything like fuck as well. I think they're panicking more than anything.

Irelands biggest problem is money spent across the border. Big supermarkets like asda that they dont have in the republic are cashing in on trade from the republic while little is actually spent in the republic. Ive witnessed people travelingn6 hours across the border to do shopping as it works out cheaper to travel and spend big on a months shopping than to shop at home

i really dont think people take into account the fuel and other expenses like lunch for the family..

its great for me at im near the border... but people coming up from the south.. it doesnt make sense.

I workmin asda and had people from galway tell me that for them to come up stay in a hotel and do their shopping still worked out cheaper than shopping at home
