I have an Acer Aspire 3100 Laptop, only problem is the mouse pad don't work, I have taken it to PC World, and they can't fix it.

Any suggestions?

Plus a mouse in, sell as-is or take it somewhere else.

Throw it as high as you can in the air and try to catch it with your face, while filming it all for corsasport. Or buy a replacement pad or just stick it on ebay as faulty.

You have made sure that you have just disabled the pad using the FN key + one of the F keys right?

IMO, the mouse pad is something which doesnt usually break on a laptop, and you'd be amazed how many people i come across in my line of work who have made this mistake, and just taken it for granted that its "broke"

Could be something simple like bad connections on the main board, maybe caused by vibration from movement or an impact, might be worth having a look if you fel confident to take it apart.

PC World are crap tbh, sounds to me like they couldn't be arsed to investigate otherwise I would expect them to give you a better reason than "It cant be fixed"
