I was sat in the car, about to pull away when the white van was driving up the hill, he saw my house number and stopped, then started to reverse. I thought it may have been a delivery, so I hung back....

Oh dear, Lamp Posts are well expensive. My mate took one out once and the council billed him for £500.

your car seems very high, do you drive a bigfoot truck or a double decker bus?

Can remember someone coming to my house not long back. The council had just put a new bollard outside of out house. He pulled his van right upto the bollard to unload at my house, then when he was setting off he drove straight into the bollard knocking it down.
He didn't stop but his numberplate fell off the van and was at the side of the bollard on the floor!
Think the bollard had only been up for about 3 days aswell!

Fair play to the council, they've removed the old one, and put barriers there etc within an hour of it happening. Can't have much work on

you want to ring up the council tomorrow morning and say that you were walking down the street, couldnt see and tripped over they'll then have to come down and replace it

Did that to avoid someone falling over and claiming damages.

Nah, went to the post office where I was originally going. Took them when I got back, still not been replaced, the fucks. It's so dark out there now, at night.

I'd prefer it, if it was dark outside can't stand lights shining in.
