Or hes just pissed the wrong people off in the car. Just seems weird, unless they got spooked and ended it sooner

Anything could of happened. Perhaps were they planned to take it was called off and they had nowhere to keep it shit themselves and just torched it. Isnt like that would be a hard car to sell and i doubt the owner would get as much from an insurance company as they would selling it. Also the fact its a fast car adds even more to the appeal of just stealing it for a joyride before burning it to get rid of evidence. Doesn't sound like an insurance job to me at all tbh.

This tbh.
You really wouldnt break into a house late at night/early hours of the morning just to steal a car.How did they know where the keys would be??
What would make it even more suspicious is if they didnt take anything else.
Was he in the house when it was broken into??Didnt he hear them drive off seeing as it has a loud exhaust??
Scoott on here has a 182 with just a powerflow backbox and its loud, would certainly hear some1 starting it up and driving off if it was as close to the house as your mates 1 in the picture.

There plans could have gone wrong though?
May have fully intended on keeping the car but something went to pot?

He said there was £20 sitting on the table beside the keys that wasnt touched.
It had an exhuast, but he was signed off work for 2 weeks and given some heavy painkillers for a back problem.
At least he has got closure on the matter instead of pondering it.
TBH i dont think you could meet a nicer guy so i doubt he has pissed anyone off and he doesn't strike me as the type of fella to pull an insurance job.

lol @ the people naive enough to think that breaking into a house to take car keys doesn't happen. It's the newest craze going and has been for a long time, cars can't be stolen like they used too by joining wires together, easier just to take the keys! So if keys are left on show you're asking for it really...
As for it being 2 miles away, who's to say they didn't take it for a rag for ages then burn it? It's entertainment for some people just for the fun of it. You can speculate all day but it doesn't scream insurance job to me at all, more like a few bored teenagers with some balls.

Well they didn't steal it for parts and 2 miles away doubt they stole it for a joy ride to and do many small villages have kids that would real into a house to rob the keys? Think he may want to watch his back poor sod
