Anybody use them?

Was speaking to a guy in the gym today, and he swears by the power plate thing, he's in great shape, only uses dumbells and this power plate.

I've tried a couple of times, different positions, but can't see how it benefits any of your muscles!?

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's the thing thats probably in the corner of the gym, that mainly women use... it vibrates.

Anybody get any decent results from them?

Mates got one at his house, came back from town one morning still wasted decided it was a good idea to have a play and was nearly sick/wet myself from the vibrations.

Agreed. They're garbage. Weights, a bit of graft and a decent diet are the key to getting into shape.

I've used them a few times now. They apparently use your muscle to 95% of it's potential (or something like that) so are more beneficial when working out. They make you work hard and some of the exercises you can do on them are pretty tough and you can defintiely feel it working! If you've never used them before you will probably have jelly legs for the next day or so after! I guess it depends what you want to do on them though. They're also used to massage some muscles after a workout ie: legs.
