I was thinking the other day after watching Demolition Man on tv. When I originally saw it I thought its vision of the future looked pretty good. Hasn't aged well!
Loved Back to the Future Pt II - Hover boards! Flying cars, fancy Pepsi and the hydrated Dominos pizza etc. Blade Runner also had the flying cars and all the futuristic corporate advertising for Coke and JVC, Atari TDK etc.
A Clockwork Orange didn't look too bad either, but thats only because it was a 70's vision of the future.
Then theres futuristic films I hope never become reality!
THX1138, 1984, Equilibrium and The Island all dipict a goverment dictatorship where people abide by strict rules and live controlled livestyles. Possibly Twelve Monkeys too, but you only see the prisons.

V for vendetta and children of men are a an unfortunate depiction of a possible future for us.

I've always quite liked The Fifth Element's depiction of the future

5th element looked cool albeit slighty camp. (dont think i could take those cops seriously)
but think in all serious 'book of eli' is what we have coming up.
