i posted a topic a while ago about which was best for weight loss, and had mixed reviews, so i did a test myself.
for a month i did cardio only, with no weight work at all, i lost a stone, and have massively increased stamina.
i went back to the weights, my form had dropped, and couldnt push as much. but within 2 days, i was back to normal lifts, and got back into it fairly easy. a month of weights only, and lost 1/2 a stone. and i noticed that after leaving weights alone for a month, i easily piled muscle mass back on again. wether its because i shocked my body back into it, i dont know?
so from now on, i am going to completely mix it up, and do a month of cardio, and then a month of weights.
just thought id share

What cardio do you do? I aim to keep my heart rate around 130bpm, i find i burn fat best in this range.
Currently doing treadmill, brisk walk at a high incline - speed 5 at an incline of 12-15

cross trainer for an hour
5mins on lv1 to warm up
5-15 on lv 10
15-45 on lv 12
45-55 on lv 15
55-60 on lv 5
then 3x10mins on bike first at lv 10 for 10mins, then at lv 12, then warm down lv5 for last 10mins.
my bpm tends to be between 155-170 when i feel im going balls out!

As Craig says, moderate cardio after weights as the glycogen in the muscles will be depleted and the body will call on fat stores for energy. A brisk incline walk for longer than you would normally run would be ideal.
