Renew bolts: Yes
Tighten: 25 Nm
- Tighten: 90°
- Tighten: 90°
- Tighten: 90°
- Tighten: 45°

Torque wrench to 25Nm
Then angle tighten them to the angles using an angle gauge. Make sure you do them in the correct pattern too...

Tighten bolts to 25Nm and then in series turn them 90 degrees and then go back to start for another 90 and repeat and then a final quarter turn of 45 degrees.
I think thats how it works

You can do it by eye. But buy a guage... They're about £10, if that.

An angle guage?
Just start with the ratchet handle vertical and stop when it's quarter of a turn?

Do you get the full turns the Haynes says with the 1.6s? I know that the when I was doing the XE's head I was scared to do the last angle stage for fear of the bolts going.

Some torque wrenches have angles on the back. For 90 and 45 it's not really needed tho

Why?
That's how vauxhall tell you to do it. So I'm sure that would be the best way.

It wouldn't make a slight bit of difference but from years of torquing shit up it'd make more sense to me.
