Me and my mate were gonna sign up about 6 months ago until we realised it was pretty much walking between obsticles and then queueing up to pass them.

Really? Thought it would be a 10k run with obstacles against the clock...

That's obviously what it's meant to be, I was a little worried about that as well though, but I would hope with them having it in waves that will sort out the congestion and it'll be pretty much a free run.
At least if it is a bit busy it'll be a bit of recovery time.
I think Ash would of done it had it been sponsored by Apple

Cheers Buddy, i'm doing it with 2 personal trainers, a derbyshire county runner, and a rugby player... luckily one of the their dads who seems to be a half marathon every week has dropped out due to injury, so I can't get embaressed by him as well!

Got this in 3 and a half hours.... still done nothing towards it, although I did buy some new trainers in the week .... which will get ruined in the water crossings i'd imagine!
I'm going to die.

New trainers before this? Not only will they get ruined but you've not run them in!
Wear your old ones!

Only got my astros, or skate trainers
They'll be fine, i'm expecting to be in pain and dying anyway, a little feet pain for an hour or so won't add too much to it

Wasn't too bad actually, was a bit of waiting around at obstacles, but very well organised.
Trainers were fine, nipples are destroyed now though! Were fine up until the first water crossing which soaked the top, after that was pain!
Managed to run the last 2km up to the 8ft wall, which in this weather was impossible, so got a leg up that.
Think it was around 1:20ish, for 12km was 10 obstacles, so pretty chuffed. Feeling a lot more alive than i though i would now!

Well done mate. I'd have no chance over an 8 ft wall even fresh! Lol

Really enjoyed it. I did literally no training for it and managed it in 1:31 would of been quicker but the guys i was with were really slow, i left them after 10k and ran the last 2 at my own pace.
There was a bit of waiting at a couple of things, but overall wasn't too much delay on them.
We're already planning next year, might do Edinburgh and make a weekend of it. And i'd consider doing Notts by myself or with people who are gonna do better to see how quick i could actually do it
