It is the principle of being told what you can and can't sing about that's annoyed me. Can't do anything any more.

Although if it was racist chanting or about someone dying or anything like that then yeah it shouldn't happen. But calling someone a paedophile is fine

A chant should be censored by the fans that sing it, or the fans around those singing it

Not many people will sing 'whos that dying on the runway' because its going a bit too far and is pretty sick

I have heard a couple of oxford fans sing "wheres your daddy gone" to nigel clough at Burton but they were quickly shut up by all the rest of the oxford fans.

Not many people are going to have a go at their own fans over the wenger/peodo thing as everyone accepts its a pun on the fact he buys young players.

Im sure deep down wenger sees the humour in it.
Fans will regulate themselves, we dont need clubs doing it for us.

1st bit correct, 2nd bit not correct.

As you said Wenger wont GAF, no one is harmed. Remember there will be people in the united crowd who were alive when that happened and were probably very sad when it happened and wont be best pleased to here derogatory chants about it, so people do get hurt. Not to mention it was a real event, where real people died. To my knowledge Wenger has not touched kids, nor been touched as one, so its just a laugh.

Its just terrace etiquette. People dont sing in a derogatory way about football tragedies. Some do but they are morons and as Dr Pepper said are usually told to shut the fuck up by other people in the crowd. With the exception of Leeds, because all their fans are morons.
