I have 2 GTX460's running in SLI and i have got a HDMI lead conneting them to the TV
If i use Native 1080P (1920x1080) it makes it too big for the screen so i have to go into the control panel and select custom resolution of 1824x1026 but this makes everything stretched vertically and its very annoying.
any ideas why when i select 1080P is throws it off the screen?

My TV does the same and I've no idea why either. Pixel aspect ratio perhaps?

Turn off overscan on the TV, or change the aspect ratio as mentioned.

What TV is it?
I know on the samsungs they overscan by default and you have to set it to "ScreenFit" mode to get it to run 1080p natively

I have a panasonic, on mine, menu options are:
First, set Aspect Ratio to 'Auto'
then
Menu -> Setup -> Picture Overscan - set to Off
It may be different slightly on the newer TV's. But if I have Overscan on, it does what you say, even with aspect ratio changing (black borders)

As Paul has said, switch overscan off. You should have it off for BD's as well......

Overscan doesn't appear on the tv menu until the aspect ratio is set to Auto.

It's called just scan on my samsung and depending what graphics drivers I use and what phase the moon is in I sometimes have to change the overscan settings on the PC, try turning overscan on then adjusting it.
