Really nice - the work that has to go into something like that.

Really is an epic build.

I uploaded these to photobucket, as if I link them from Vortex you might not see them.

Not at all - Oettinger parts as well, so very difficult to come by at the best of times.

Whilst i appreciate the effort and detail in that build and it is a good read i cant help but think how anal it all is.

I mean comments like "the hose clamps are not the correct ones" and "The bonnet hinge bolts are not the oem spec"

Come on that is OCD right there.
Nice car but i couldnt arsed with that.

How do you link straight from a website without photobucket etc?

had another proper read of the thread, it's porn, just so fucking lovely!

this uses the oettinger 16v head, inlet, manifold and 2000e 2.0 'henceforth' block (similar dimensions to the 1.8 16v kr which came in the mk2), it was like mix and match tuning (1600e, 1800e and 2000e bottom ends, different cam options, etc)

basically, this was the top bollocks vw motorsport engine of the time

(i didn't see any power figures in the thread but this would be AT LEAST 170-180bhp in an 850kg car)

he's definitely OCD about rare as hens teeth oettinger parts

oem recaros;

If you just image tag the site address it picks up the images that way.
