gonna be saving up to get a new car at the end of next year.
it will be my second car.
main things id like are
Hatchback
dont mind it being oldish (S reg or newer)
pretty quick.
2k or less.
petrol.
any reccomendations?

The end of next year. That's a year away. Just save what you can and address the issue of what car then. If I had my mind set on a car for more than a month I'd go nuts.
Infact it's over a month now and I'm going crazy

just looking at ideas pal. my mate has a 106 gti. only thing putting me off is the fucking pedals atm.

also considering a 1.6 sport/ Gsi (hard to get a decent one nowadays)

saxo vts however not a huge fan of saxos

If its a B you've got I would be saving money for the inevitable repair bills just around the corner, never mind what you will have left in a year to buy anything
