haha i could not apply as my maths at school was a D and my english was just in at C lol but i now have a btec, nvq 2-3, city & guilds, and ONC AND HNC in electrical mechanical engineering........ wonder how id fair up as i dont have the gcse's
ive always found how a company demands these grades abit silly.... im the first to admit i was immature at school and only did moderatley well... i knew what i knew now id have tried harder but this gets fogotten along the way.......... but ive still achieved qualifications thats are higher than what bt have to offer in there apprenticeship........ makes no sense

Just got back from my first stay at the main traiining facility in Yarnfield, wasn't bad at all, food was pretty good and I kept myself entertained with the Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal games in the bar in the evenings. I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in!
King Doug - sorry mate I would have shared wisdow with you but your interview has been and gone, let us know how you got on.

Haha yeah I know who you mean. The worst thing about it I would say is the location, and the well patchy phone signal! Everyone said the food is shit, but fry ups every day, along with things like toad in the hole, chicken fajitas, bangers and mash, wasn't bad for free. Maybe I'm easily pleased.

Missed this thread... I finished last September on the higher framework. Pretty decent apprenticeship - I'm working in service management now managing a team of 13.
Yarnfield food was terrible.

Hotel in Croydon puts Yarnfield to shame, big air conned room, mini bar, flat screen etc! Feel sorry for those stuck in the midde of nowhere!

I had really shit grades when I did my GCSEs. Still got my NRA somewhere!
My school was crap, teachers were mongs, lessons were boring and most of the students spent their time either going AWOL or beating each other up!
Considering I've no A levels or university degrees I still managed to have enough intelligence to run my own businesses despite my teachers telling me I wouldn't amount to much in life!
