Has anyone else watched this yet?
I watched it last weekend at the cinema and thought it was amazing.
There wasnt a huge amount to the story, but the visual effects and retro soundtrack (daft punk) really made it feel good.

I watched it...
Music 10/10 really powerful and carry the film.
Visually 9/10 - great to look at, but lacking in 3d. This combined with audio = great.
The story... pretty average / poor 5/10
P.S. I enjoyed the original tron. I just found the story / flow of this new one was lacking somewhat.

There's no decent hd copies that I can see from.
I'd like to watch it again at home with the lights off and music up....

i liked it, but the story wasnt very imaginitive and didnt feel like it was meant to be inside a computer, the original pulled it off well, and i think its due to its simplicity.
The new one is too complex, everything is too organic, the programs have too much personality as do the objects etc to make it believable that its the insides of computer systems

^^ yeah have to agree steve.
The original film felt like it was inside a computer system.
The new one just feels like he's in some sorta weird alternative reality - it doesnt really feel like it's in a computer system at all.
e.g. ... why would the computer programs be in the stadium watching the games between computer programs.
In the original the games between the computer programs were almost just for the amusement of the master controller.

Watch it alone one night when the wife is out.
She will hate it (unless she's a computer geek or has already seen it).
tbh, I only enjoyed it because I used to love it. But really, it's a fucking shit film and extremely boring

Likewise.
Bought the soundtrack too.
Bit annoyed though as it's only the score and features none of the songs from the film.
