I'm looking at getting some tyres when I get paid, I'd like R888's but, I'd mostly be doing road miles, so don't see the point, anyway I might be called Michael, but my second name ain't Schumacher Also £400+ isn't ideal
So both of the above tyres seem to come in under £300. For 195/50/15.
Anyone had these tyres?

Now you all come out of the woodwork
Not long after getting the Toyo's I went on Pistonheads, and they had a thread, which said use Federal A bloke will be selling a set of RS-R soon on Ebay.

Basically, the road legal track day tyre Toyo does is R888s....
The road legal track day tyre federal does is RS-Rs...
Therefore the R1R's wont' be as 'good' as potentially a track day tyre could've been.
That said though, you aren't using the car on track - so you don't need road legal track day tyres. What you have bought is probably perfect for road use.
A proper track day tyre such as a R888 is really noisey (whines), stiff tyre walls make the ride bumpy, they dont grip that well in wet weather on roads (e.g. standing water) and they wear out so fast because they're soft.
You probably made a good choice really.
