Did you actually say it was for Verizon on CDMA at the time though? Plus that was over 6 months ago, was this even in the pipeline then?
Glad they've fixed the Antenna though, I'd feel happier buying the next one now, it put me off the iPhone 4.

yeh.
there ws talk that iphone release in june 2010 would be nov 2010 and verizon would be the main carrier in the us.
however, verizon were unable to accomodate their network with the additional iphone strain that would be imposed.
youll see now verizon start to utilize a lot more stations around the us.
as for antennagate, uk carriers DID express concern about signal issues before it went live, however it was ignored.
but, i am no longer in the industry now, lets say i couldnt keep quiet about certain things

I remember you saying that the Blackerry Storm was going to be the best thing in the world ever. You also said it was a big secret but Vodafone was already advertising it on the TV.

Tethering? Isn't that already an option?

You've been able to tether your iPhone to your laptop via USB since the iPhone 3G (maybe even the iPhone). But the operators charge extra for you to do this - something in the region of an extra £10-£15 a month. I find this quite annoying because it's something the phone has the technical ability to do at no extra cost, and I pay for a certain amount of a data a month so I should be allowed to use it as I please. Before iOS4 there was a simple way of getting around this by installing a profile onto the phone that would let you tether it for free, but since iOS4 it calls home before allowing you to get near that menu so the only option is to jailbreak and install sub-par/badly written crap from Cydia.
They'll probably charge you for mobile hotspots too.

Ah right I see, wasn't there something in the jailbreak, or something extra, that unlocked the feature for free? If so I can see this happening with this as well

Used to be able to use this: http://blackra1n.org/enable-tethering/ but it doesn't work anymore. Would work without jailbreak too apparently.
