oryt lads just wondering if anyone has had the same problem or has any idias

i have just converted my car to x16xe it strugles to start once you give it a little rev its ok ??
the head gasket had gone so changed that and it hasent helped i have just been on short moterway trip and car was like judering power was snappy so pulled of and all it wanted todo was die if you kept revs up it was fine so i just left it for maby 45 mins came back splutery start gave it a little rev and it was fine if anyone has any idia it would help massively am at my wits end with it thanks

common ones seem to be

air flow meter
idle control valve
and the obv coil pack plugs etc

cheers mate i will try them first befor i take it to some were and end up with a huge bill for what will prob be a tiny sensor haha

x16 doesnt have an air flow meter. It has a map sensor.

Check the usual plugs and leads.

yer its just a tiny little thing and some said the lamma sensor mite have sumet to do with it ??

lambda sensor (hope my spellings correct) are the sensors that read the xhaust gas and may have something to do with it, if the engine management light is on get it to a garage so then can read the codes

cheers mate yer the engine management light is on all the time i just fort that might be something to do with me ripping out the air con a think al have to get it to garage

rite i got it pluged it today it said the map sensor is low on volts problie becouse there isent a vacume pipe running to it i have the pipe but crnt for the life of me see were it goes to it must be some were near inlet the only thing is my engine has a power box will the afect were the vacume lives if any one knows were this pipe goes from the map it would be great

have you used the 3 holes on the inlet for the vaccum pipes? If you have, you might have to use a plastic t-piece and join the vuccum pipe to one that runs into the inlet. Double check though mate

i will post picture of what it was like wen the lad a bort it of had it in his car i it looks the same now just i crnt fine were the map vac goes
