Had the car booked into garage today for a new sump gasket fitted as i thought it was weeping but it turns out the oil leak is coming from up in the timing covers and was running down onto the sump and was told by the garage it is either the crank seal needs replacing or oil pump gasket but would it cause any damage if i left it for the time being?

Its just until i can get a days hoilday sorted at work, would like it done asap really.

Sound like its going to be a costly job labour wise as they said they need the car for the full day.

Any idea how much a GM crank seal and oil gasket is?
