i bought a car to scrap the other day,
and took to scrap yard, weighed it in, they dont ask for the v5 at this place, and not log book has came through which is new style, and you cant just tick the box and send it off how u used to do it whats the process now.

Give it to the scrapyard where you took the car, fill out te relevant bits, they'll sign it and send it away. You'll get a letter in a few weeks saying it's been scrapped.

whats to stop me signing it on there behalf and sending it off ??? cos the new section is for more than scrapping, its for selling it to a trader as well....

No idea about you signing it. When I've scrapped a car they have always wanted the v5 before they took the car.

Ive signed for the seller of cars i have bought in the past and had no issues.

New V5 has no scrap option, You need a certificate of destruction now.

You might have a few issues if not.

just fill in the bit "transfered to trader/dismantler" and make a name and company up
