Right guys & girls I need your help. Start of this month, I popped into Goldsmiths and put a Ł20 deposit down on a Watch that I wanted to get my girlfriend, and the lady that served me said that their sale ends on 31st January, so I replied, that's fine I'll pop down then (as it's payday) and pay the rest. Got home at 1:30 this morning to find a (Compliment Slip) addressed to me, opend it and said along the lines: We are sorry to inform you but our sale Ends 16th January (Yesterday). So does this mean I'm buggered? I was in Birmingham since Satruday morning and didnt get the letter until this morning. So where do I stand? can I still get the watch at the sale price or at least get my deposit back and go elsewhere?

If you paid a deposit, surely you have some paperwork that shows what the balance outstanding is?

They should sell you it at the price they had it advertised at if there is a deposit on it.

Or give you the deposit back if they don't want to sell you the product at that price, unless you've entered a contract by paying the deposit.

I don't think I have ed, as she said it is a refundable deposit wheather that makes a difference or not?

All done. Got my deposit back with no fuss. I shal not be buying from them again.

Know any good shops that sell nice ladies watches for everyday use but at the same time nice for going out in?

unfortunately those are sun glasses. Absolutely useless if you wear them on your wrist.
