Yep had a few black cars meself
Love seeing the thing gleaming after polishing but within a day or two it looks rotten again Same with some blues etc.
My sonic blue on my last scooby was a good mix of both worlds.

My corsa sport was my 1st black car and yes you could see swirls in the sun and little dings... but the biggest problem is black hides the body shape of the car (although for some cars thats possibly not a bad thing )
Mind you saying that it's not as bad as red which shows all the bad things as a black car and fades like fuck

Im actually looking for a 106 gti. was meant to be going to view one in south Wales, he's messing me around. I have been meaning to go 3 weeks running now and there a different excuse every time. That was a cherry red one.
But seen as i told him to get fucked. need to look at some others :/

Had 2, same as a few. Never again. Ace when clean. Shit 5 mins later, stone chips, dents, scratches, swirl marks all show like crazy.

they look amazing when clean but get dirty very easy and also show up dents/any mark whatsoever very easily.
Ditto. My puma looked a mess from chips at the front.
Silver 3 series was best. I never polished it in 6 months. Just washed it and it looks good as new. Just before i sold it, i had 'detailed', and it didn't look amazing better.

I bought my first dark coloured car last June. Pain in the ass to keep looking good, especially as I came from a red car which always looked good

My fabia Is black and in this weather it does get dirty very quickly. But I love it because it so easy to get glass finish! All you need is to give it a good was the use 3m ultra fine polish with a mop, I think my sealer polisher was 55£ and a massive bottle of the 3m stuff is about £15, gives glass effect every time. Also it's a very weak polish so no chance of burning through
will get pics next weekend if this thread is still living
