If I buy a Sky+ from eBay, how much would Sky charge for installation? I see it costs £60 for installation on the website, but knowing Sky they would charge extra if you don't buy the box from them.

Any advice welcome

Actually, i'm sure i've got vouchers which would entitle me and you both to £50 of m&s vouchers when/if you sign up.

Free SKy+ HD box when you sign up...

could ring up a local installer and ask them to put a new lnb on the dish and run another cable, then ring sky to have sky+ activated? Might be cheaper?

I got my parents old Sky+ box when they upgraded to HD, all I did was phone Sky to register it and it worked straight away. Didn't have to pay anything.

I was also on poverty Sky. I did have two sat connections to the dish though.

This, if you have Sky then you only need to upgrade your subscription to sky+

Might not need a new lnb, especially if it's a newer dish.

Easy enough to chuck a new wire in.

I might give them a call tomorrow to see how much installation is.

From what I understand then, you need another cable so you can watch one channel and record another?
