That's inthe region of 30 mpg - sounds a little low, but it depends on a lot of factors.

Are your journeys short? If so, the cold weather won't be allowing the engine to reach normal operating temperature, which is where an engine is most efficient.

Is it through town, with a lot of top-start moving? Are you having to use a fair bit of throttle to keep up with traffic? All of those will cause a fair bit of fuel consumption.

Obviously, if it's markedly more usage than before then perhaps it needs investigating, but bear in mind that fuel has gone up arund 7-8p a litre since Christmas - that'll reduce your mileage for the same cost of fuel by about 5, or about 8 miles when you're using £25 a time.

Just for your comparison, I like to keep an eye on what cars use to see if there are any problems...

The KA does about 125 all town miles to £20 @ 128.9 - just over 15 litres

The corsa is currently doing between 65 and 70 miles to a tenner (nearly 8 litres) - take that you 1.2 8v haters!

That can't be right, there's no way you can do 65-70 miles in a 1.2 8v - they don't move unless they're at or above 4,000 RPM.

I've only ever seen my temp gauge move 3 or 4 times on a long run and sat in traffic.

£10 will hardly move the needle these days.
