Weird question, but if you had one fo these to sell brand new in its box etc. etc., hopw much would it be worth? Preusmably less than being bought brand new form a shop? Anywhere better than eBay to sell it on? ie. where theres nos tupid fees and where people arent so ignorant etc?

I did say ebay, but then deleted it after I read it properly

You get a good idea of second hand price by doing completed listing on there. You don't usually sell items for much more unless you find an idiot.

Only other sales route is forums or other 2nd rate auction websites generally like iOffer.

Does it not have a years manufacturers warranty tho?

EDIT: I generally think people want to pay even less on gum tree Plus, it's a scummy dodgy website that I don't like in general.

Why not blag it at PC world and just try for a credit note? Might be better to shift and will get more money?

My uncle used to go to the pound shop and buy some DIY gear they had in then go to B&Q and return them and get vouchers, as they were selling them for like 5 times the price

If it's boxed new and it does actually have the manufacturers warranty, I can't see you taking too much of a hit on ebay, although there will be a hit. Thing is, PC World isn't usually the place to go by for pricing.

worth a spunt then!

This is the spec for sure, so same as the one in the link except it has an i5-460M process (2.53GHz) rather than the i5-450M (2.4GHz) and it doesn't have a blu-ray player, just a DVD-+RW drive. So how much do we think?
Our suggested replacement is a Dell Inspiron 17R
Intel Core i5-460M Processor (2.53 GHz,3M Cache).
4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048].
500GB (5400RPM) Serial ATA Hard Drive.
DVD-+RW Drive.
1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470.
10/100 LAN.
Wireless LAN.
Bluetooth.
Primary 6-cell 48 WHr Lithium Ion battery.
1.3 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera.
17.3inch WLED High Definition + (1600 x 900) TFT Display with TrueLife.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
Mars Black.
1 Year Manufacturer Warranty

Def keen not to sue eBay as they will rape me for fees

Yeah they will, about 14% if you use Paypal too, bastards.

You could just list it and prey for an offer outside of ebay then just cancel the auction and get your money back?

I reckon you do the PC world scam and take it back for credit.

If you want more of a feeling that'd actually work, you could buy one legit, then take that back with the receipt and get your money back. Then go in with your credit card statement for the purchase of the other

You won't be able to scam PC World as they are serial tracked items.
