I'm on a traders policy at the minute, but soon to come off it.
Who are the best & cheapest insurers for group 20 cars for 21 / 22 year olds?
Insurance has gone up shitloads since my last quote, I have a quote saved from May last year, and its gone up £700 since, even with 4 years NCB it's insane!
Who uses who then? Obviously i've been on compare websites, but sometimes it's better to phone up individuals iirc?
Multi-car policy would be great though, as I need to insure another vehicle.
Cheers for any help guys...

The groups changed last January, now there are 50 groups. Now a group 20 car is like an octy vrs (think thats group 24) I guess you mean now nearer group 47 - 50 ?
There are specialists that advertise in the back of autocar but never pay them any attention, might have their links on the website
*edit*
Can't see any info on their website alex, will see if I have a copy in the car

What happened in the end then? Sell it as broken or did you have to shell out?

Sold it as broken, must be okay now though; The vehicle KC56HLA, a Bmw X5 Sport D Auto (Estate), is on our database.

I seriously cannot believe how high insurance has gone of late, I thought it was internet forum BS, but the exact same quote that was saved from last may on moneysupermarket.com is now £650 more, with an extra years NCB! It's crazy.
Jim - Insurance Group 18 according to various sites, dunno what the new group is though.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, insurance group is largely irrelevant to the price.
Specific car, you and your area make the biggest difference.
