Ok, i've recently started taking my driving lessons, and want to get a corsa ASAP on my drive so me and my brother (who is also on this site) can start tinkering with it and that. So yeah i've just been browsing through ebay for a corsa when i found a polar sea blue 1.0 for £388. Reserve not met, so i shouted my dad to come and have a look, it was spotless, not a mark, a scratch or any rust. Not a single fault on the car as it had just flown through the MoT. Was only in Leeds too which isn't to far away. Anyway, there was 9 minutes left and my dad threw a £500 bid in. It seemed as though we were the only ones watching it so we played it cool until about 4 minutes, my dad wanted to be sure and put in a £600 bid. I thought, Yes! Its mine! .. and of course.. 9seconds before it finished, Somebody out bid us, So my dad quickly rushed and put in £650 with 4 seconds left.. and it went for £651.11. We'd lost. I was gutted lol But i will be keeping my eyes open for more corsa's and will start my own thread when i get it!

Gutted. Might be worth your while messaging the seller to say you're still interested at the winning bid price should the winner mess him around.

I won a printer by 2p a while back.
Bid £100.02, wasn't against anyone so it stayed lot for a bit, someone sniped £100 in the closing seconds but my proxy got me it.
Would still have won for the same money because mine was placed earlier.
I always go a few quid over just to make sure.
And also - that car - probably not the cheapest out there, keep looking.

Sure you'll find one for that money, I would probably be talking about 400 tops, according to the listing the MOT is due up as well.

The reason I've got my gsi was because I noticed it was 3 mins from the end at £500 and I thought "That looks clean I'd pay £500 for that anyday" I placed a bid of £510 and 2 mins later I'd won it and someone had lost out on it for the sake of £10
