Im just setting up a friends PC having installed XP but ive changed a setting somewhere but not sure how.
My own PC boots up and goes straight to the desktop which is how im trying to get this new PC to. Instead on booting up it goes to a windows logon prompt box showing the user account that was created, click on OK and it loads the desktop up. How do i change the settings so it boots straight to desktop?

It's normally an update that does this.

regedit
cant remember exactly but...
software
microsoft
windowsnt
current version
winlogon
then add your values to string 'DefaultUser' 'DefaultPassword' and change 'AutoAdminLogon' (I think?) to 1.

Easiest way is go on run and type "control userpasswords2" and there's a tick box for logon or not. I know you've sorted it now however.
