Indeed, they will go from playing good footy under Di Mateo to solid boring football under uncle Woy. I think Hughton would have been a better long term appointment. it looks as though they are once again looking at the short term though.

I really do feel now WBA will go down again this season. At the start of the season they were doing very well!

1.5 years probably so they have to pay less when they sack him.

Makes more sense than giving him a 5 year contract and sacking him after 1 year as they then have to lump sum the remainder.

If i was a WBA fan i would have rather kept Di Matteo, played decent football under him, and was the guy who got them in the premiership in the 1st place.

His face didn't fit at Liverpool, the chance probably came too late in his managerial career.

He should do ok at WBA with the weight of expectation lifted.
