Its not really worth spending all that on a retrim in a car worth about the same(ish)?

Could you not get some leather MX-5 seats of ebay or something?

It's only an idea! The drivers side bolster has split, but seeing these prices I think not!

An upholsterer can repair this why not flick through the yellow pages. Leather can also be treated and resealed and the seat bolster can be replaced. much chear than a retrim
