Hmm i have an X18XE1, it was basically knocking its tits off so got removed, but im thinking about rebuilding it. Possibly make something good out of it, but how much would a simple rebuild roughly cost. Bare in mind havent looked to see what is actually damaged or how far its gone yet.
Currently putting new engine atm so will find how bad it is once done this.

Ive got a spare set, or brand new Bottom end bearings an a head gasket you can have for £70

big ends, mains, conversion set(sump set), headset, bolts, belt kit, water pump, rings decent quality...elring, victor reinz, mahle, gylco, acl, etc then id say anything up to £500 fopr bits
but all depends what bores are like pistons and over bore could cost anything up to £600 if went to extent of forged pistons. even stock pistons maybe £200 a set

On that engine, I would just fix the knocking and not bother rebuilding the whole thing.
